I'll admit it--I love to paint. Granted, my arms are killing me by the time all is said and done, but the transformation of a room into something completely different (and to my liking) is so satisfying. Soon, I will be able to paint all of the rooms. We are waiting until the contractor is finished with the plaster work, and then we should be able to get those rollers and brushes busy!
We are still deciding on room colors, and that can be a difficult choice with a Victorian home. Do you want to use colors that are accurate to the 1880s? For those that are renovating an older home that want a contemporary look, almost anything goes. However, we are antique and historic preservationist types--bordering on Steampunkers, actually--since we do have a love for mixing technology with Victoriana. Right now we are analyzing the Historic Preservation Valspar colors to see what might work for us.
